Cinnamon
comes from the bark of a tree, cinnamonium zeylanicum native to Sri
Lanka, or Chinese cinnamon, cinnamonium cassia which is native to
Southeast Asia. Cinnamon leaf essential oil is extracted using the
steam distillation method. We use only cinnamon leaf essential oil as
cinnamon bark essential oil is a skin irritant and sensitizer.
Nutmeg is an evergreen tree that is native to the Molucca islands.
Nutmeg essential oil is steam distilled from the dried seeds.
Juniper is also an evergreen shrub, and the essential oils are steam
distilled from the leaves, needles and berries.
